Habitation certificate

When do you need a certificate of occupancy? Until when is the habitation certificate valid?

This certificate is a legal obligation, also needed to contract water supply and, occasionally, the electricity supply.

The certificate is valid for 5 or 10 years depending on the Council. The certificate will only be issued if there is no record of an urban infraction on the property, and most times a certificate of an architect will be required.
